Yield Analyst – (Remote – US)

Position Title & Overview:

With more than 10,000 publishers, and 20 exchange partners, the need for digestible data to drive informed decision making based on our publisher’s best interests is more important than ever.

As a Yield Analyst you will use our many sources of data to drive insights into pricing across various products, ensuring we are entering the market at a proper price based on seasonality, geography, device type, addressability, and more.

The dashboards, reports, alerts and analysis the Yield Analyst compiles will help us be proactive in solving monetization problems with our publishers, allowing them to reach their full earning potential.

This role will also be part of the product life cycle process, helping us to visualize the positive or negative effect a new product or a change to an existing product may have on our overall success. They will refine and extend our A/B testing capabilities and highlight important takeaways from the data around new and existing features.

The person in this role will report directly to the Director of Data & Analytics, and will collaborate across multiple teams including Data, Product, Ad Technology, and Engineering.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • The Pricing & Yield analyst is tasked with partnering across multiple departments within Mediavine to drive revenue through data-driven insights & strategic planning
  • Build tools and complete analysis to optimize all aspects of yield including but not limited to viewability, floor rates, SSP evangelism, header-bidding configuration
  • Deliver insights to our sales team to set pricing across various products and platforms
  • Analyze A/B testing and recommend changes or a push into the live environment based on findings
  • Develop reporting and processes to help us analyze the lift that each SSP provides
  • As business needs change, be flexible in learning and applying your skills and experience on other product teams



  • Applicants must be based in the United States

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in yield management or digital ad operations at a publisher
  • Knowledge of SSP UIs and reporting systems, including but not limited to Pubmatic, Magnite, Index Exchange, OpenX, etc.
  • Experience with SQL operations, such as the ability to write and execute queries to retrieve data from a database
  • Ability to aggregate data from multiple sources and compile it into a digestible and actionable format
  • Experience with a modern BI tool (Looker, Tableau, etc.) DOMO specifically is a plus
  • Experience working with Google Ad Manager including in depth knowledge of Unified Pricing Rules, inventory management, protections, key value management, and reporting
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects & competing priorities effectively
  • Experience working with multiple online products including but not limited to: Display, Instream, Outstream, Native, eCommerce, etc.
