Role Description
We’re seeking a Data Migration Specialist to work with a global team offering services relating to data migration from one
accounting platform to another.
This role’s purpose is to assist accountants and bookkeepers in migrating their client data to a cloud-based accounting
platform. You will be responsible for providing a range of data-related services that support this purpose. Ample training
will be provided, and this role sits in a supportive team. You will need exceptional data manipulation skills, be process
driven, have a passion for client relations, and have a sound understanding of the accounting industry. This is an ideal
opportunity to make a difference supporting clients to grow their online strategy for their business.

What you’ll do

  • Assist partners with migration of various data sets, including conversion balances, historical comparatives, transactional data, client list data, tax data, and other data types.
  • Handle partners’ conversion process, including technical queries and escalations
  • Handle the bulk loading of partners’ client organizations
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including the Partner Consulting and Sales teams, including expectation management
  • Engage in a regular virtual or phone meetings with the relevant internal Xero staff including partner consultants and account managers
  • Handling partner queries and escalations when necessary
  • Update Xero’s CRM system with all activity
  • Respond in a timely manner to all work requests and internal enquiries
  • Manage inbound work requests from internal customers

  • Ensure work requests are processed and turned around within agreed timescales.
  • Support related internal teams to help achieve their goals and targets.
  • Participate in the updating and maintaining of internal process and procedure documents.

What you’ll bring with you
Critical competencies

  • Excellent excel skills: VLOOKUP’s, pivot-tables, macros etc.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and systems
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Process driven and takes ownership
  • Loads of initiative and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Qualification in accounting or bookkeeping

Experience

  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with
  • Financial Applications such as Xero, QBO, MYOB, Sage etc)
  • Extensive experience with spreadsheet systems, in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of the workings of an accounting practice and related systems is a plus.
