We understand the challenges inherent in making tough decisions on defense and employer spending and prioritizing mission-critical goals in an environment plagued by unanticipated events and crises surrounding insurance fraud. Our goal is to help insurance carriers, employers, TPA’s, law firms and law enforcement leaders to mitigate and manage risk so that they can stay on track and on budget while improving performance and accountability.
Our dedicated Social Intelligence Investigative Analysts bring vast experience, specialized skill sets, and deep industry knowledge to our clients. We combine our proprietary software and years of investigative experience to meet the complex and diverse needs of our clients.
We are seeking qualified specialists to join Webutation’s Social Media Intelligence Analyst team.

Position Description**:

***We are a 9 month old start up***

If insurance fraud is suspected, companies often require in-depth background investigations to unravel the problem. Our team performs background/social media investigations of parties suspected of wrongdoing, searches for conflicts of interest and undisclosed business affiliations, or looks into whether parties are living beyond their means. We seek to uncover direct and circumstantial evidence of fraud, as well as any prior financial, legal, regulatory or criminal problems. We assist clients by investigating opposing parties and their experts; help find facts relevant to claims and defenses; and identify and locate witnesses. Information developed can expand the scope of the litigation as new and critical information is developed.
We are currently seeking investigative professionals to work in tandem with our proprietary algorithmic process and SMIA team to support investigations involving the potential of
insurance fraud. (OSINT) Open Source Intelligence, (SOCMINT) Social Media Intelligence, a
deep understanding of social media networks, Boolean (Google Dorking) search methodologies, metadata and public record research experience preferred. Commercial database knowledge a plus. Candidates who are knowledgeable with using visualization software and social media tools (Holehe, Maltego) also a plus.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

Conducting Litigation Support investigations, including, but not limited to:

  • OSINT knowledge
  • Social Media
  • Background Checks
  • Record Search
  • Complex Background Checks
  • Preparing and dictating detailed investigation reports
  • Adhering to strict due dates
  • Pitching in wherever we need help – we’re still less than a year old start up

Required skills:

  • Bachelors (preferred) Associates (required)
  • Deep understanding of finding people on social media networks
  • Open Source Intelligence knowledge (OSINT)
  • Boolean search methodologies
  • Understanding of page source data
  • Geo-spatial metadata
  • Investigative background
  • Ability to create dynamic deliverables in multiple formats (Word, PPT) within a few hours
  • Demonstrated interest in business or legal issues and/or strong research background
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct investigative research using online databases and public record resources
  • Ability to analyze and summarize documents and written materials in an organized report format
  • Ability to balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management
  • Ability work with deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral

This position will be fully remote .

The current CEO was the former Co-Founder of a social media intelligence start-up, which was sold in 2020 and provided a range of investigative and enterprise risk services.

This is a full-time hourly position.
