In this pivotal role, the Website Manager will shape the digital foundation of a fast-growing global brand. As the Website Manager, the individual will own the day-to-day operations, governance, and performance of the HubSpot-hosted website. By partnering with senior leaders, design teams, and external agencies, the successful candidate will ensure the website remains a high-performing, conversion-ready platform that reflects the brand.

About the Role

The client is seeking a Website Manager to own the end-to-end operation of the website, ensuring updates are executed efficiently, quality standards are upheld, and the site remains accurate, scalable, and conversion-ready. This role acts as the central point of coordination across content, design, development, SEO, growth, analytics, and QA.

This is not a design or development role. It is an operational leadership role focused on execution, governance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Website Operations & Governance

– Own the full website maintenance lifecycle, from request intake through deployment

– Manage prioritization, SLAs, and scheduling for website updates (urgent vs. routine vs. strategic)

– Enforce website governance standards, including templates, modules, permissions, and publishing rules

– Serve as the primary point of contact for all website-related requests across Marketing, Sales, and Leadership

– Manage user access, permissions, and CMS training

Cross-Functional Coordination

– Coordinate work across Content, Design, Development, SEO, Growth/CRO, Analytics, and QA

– Ensure clear handoffs, timelines, and accountability at each stage of execution

– Identify and resolve blockers, dependencies, and resourcing issues

– Facilitate alignment between stakeholders on scope, priority, timing, and expectations

Release Management & QA Oversight

– Oversee staging, QA, and production releases

– Support CRO initiatives including A/B testing, personalization, and experiment QA

– Ensure all changes pass required checks:

– Content QA

– Visual QA

– Technical QA

– Accessibility compliance

– Own post-publish validation and coordinate rollbacks or hotfixes when needed

– Maintain a consistent release cadence and deployment process

CMS & Technical Stewardship (HubSpot)

– Maintain a clean, scalable HubSpot CMS environment, including:

– Page templates

– Modules

– HubDB usage

– Permissions and publishing workflows

– Ensure technical best practices are followed for performance, responsiveness, and maintainability

– Partner with the cybersecurity team to ensure website security, compliance (cookie consent, GDPR), and access hygiene

– Partner with developers on upgrades, fixes, and CMS improvements

Content & Asset Updates

– Implement content and copy updates in partnership with the Content team and subject matter experts

– Coordinate visual asset updates with the Design team

– Monitor pages for outdated content or messaging and trigger refresh cycles as needed

– Maintain long-term website architecture and scalability across services and verticals

SEO Oversight

– Oversee the implementation of SEO updates, with support from an external agency

– Partner with the SEO Specialist and web developer on audits and recommendations

– Ensure site updates do not negatively impact organic search performance

Vendor Management

– Serve as the primary point of contact for website-related vendors, including external SEO and CRO agencies

– Coordinate vendor requests by routing action items to the appropriate internal teams and owners

– Ensure alignment on scope, priorities, and timelines, and track vendor-driven work through completion

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

– Maintain website documentation, including:

– Website changelog

– SOPs for updates and QA

– Page inventory and ownership

– Lead retrospectives on major launches or incidents

– Continuously improve workflows, tools, and standards to increase speed and reliability

Required Qualifications

– 3–5+ years of experience managing websites in a marketing or growth environment

– Hands-on experience with HubSpot CMS (or comparable CMS platforms)

– Strong understanding of:

– Website governance and QA processes

– Cross-functional project coordination

– SEO and CRO fundamentals

– Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent requests and priorities

– Experience coordinating with distributed or remote teams

– Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Work Conditions

Location: Remote (South Africa, India, or Philippines), with availability for U.S. Pacific Standard Time collaboration as needed
