For one of our clients, we are looking for a VP, Employer Business Development & Sales, remotely from the United States.

As the VP, Employer Business Development & Sales, you will play a key role in leading and expanding a new business group. This position involves cultivating and managing relationships with decision-makers in self-insured employers, benefits brokers, and captives, while executing targeted sales strategies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful positioning and growth of an innovative platform that offers actionable insights into healthcare spending. This role requires an in-depth understanding of healthcare benefits and the broader ecosystem, along with the ability to navigate complex sales processes to drive measurable cost savings and performance improvements.

Accountabilities:

  • Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with decision-makers at self-insured employers, brokers, captives, and advisors.
  • Lead both channel and direct sales efforts, positioning tailored solutions to address client needs.
  • Drive the development of comprehensive territory and pipeline strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Partner with internal teams to execute go-to-market initiatives, enhancing brand awareness and market penetration.
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing sales team, setting the standard for performance and growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in SaaS-based or service-based technology sales within the employer-sponsored benefits market.
  • Proven success in selling to HR leaders, CFOs, and brokers/advisors, with an in-depth understanding of healthcare and employee benefits management.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed multi-million-dollar sales quotas and navigate complex sales environments.
  • Expertise in self-insured employer dynamics, compliance frameworks, and the insurance provider marketplace.
  • Strong consultative sales skills, with the ability to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
