Underwriting/Brokerage Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Brokerage/Underwriting Assistant to support our underwriting and brokerage teams. This role involves assisting in the placement of difficult-to-insure risks, evaluating insurance applications, preparing quotes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and governmental regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Underwriting & Brokerage Support
    • Assist in evaluating insurance applications and underwriting risks.
    • Prepare quotes by analyzing carrier underwriting guidelines and market acceptability.
    • Assist in pre-rating and selecting the correct policy language for insurance contracts.
    • Manage documentation and ensure compliance with underwriting and brokerage standards.
  • Market & Client Interaction
    • Communicate with insurance carriers, markets, and retail insurance broker clients via email and phone.
    • Submit brokerage applications and follow up on required documentation to secure bindable quotes.
    • Collaborate with a team to support quoting for new business and renewals.
  • Operational Support
    • Organize and maintain accurate documentation in internal systems.
    • Track and follow up on outstanding submissions and quotes.
    • Assist in streamlining processes to improve efficiency and service delivery.

  • Experience & Education
