Traveling Camera Operator/Cinematographer for an Online Media Platform

Our client is seeking a talented and adventurous Camera Operator/Cinematographer to join their team of visual storytellers. This position requires a passion for human rights and social justice topics, combined with exceptional cinematography skills and a willingness to travel extensively across continents. As a Traveling Camera Operator/Cinematographer, you will be responsible for capturing visually striking and innovative footage that aligns with their mission of raising awareness about important global issues.


  • Collaborate closely with the director and production team to bring the creative vision to life.
  • Plan and execute visually compelling shots, utilizing unconventional angles, unique perspectives, and innovative compositions.
  • Ensure the highest quality of footage by maintaining technical proficiency with cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment.
  • Creatively overcome shooting challenges, such as difficult locations, lighting conditions, or budget constraints.
  • Contribute artistic input and solutions during real-time production scenarios.
  • Maintain consistency and attention to detail across various shots and scenes.


Candidate Location: Brazil/South America

  • Gen Z are preferred.
  • Proven experience as a camera operator, Director of Photography (DP), or cinematographer on a variety of projects, including commercials, music videos, films, or documentaries.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing an avant-garde style, creative composition, and a knack for visual storytelling.
  • Expertise in using different types of cameras and equipment, including the latest digital cinema technology, or a willingness to self-teach and learn new equipment.
  • Proficiency in color grading, lighting techniques, and advanced camera techniques, or a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to interpret scripts and translate them into compelling visual stories.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with directors, producers, and crew members.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work long hours and adapt to varying shooting schedules and conditions.
  • Passion for innovation and staying updated with the latest trends in cinematography and visual effects.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to artistic integrity.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across continents on short notice.

Please note that this is a per-trip/per-project position, and candidates are expected to have their own equipment (4K camera, lavalier microphone, etc.). However, exceptional talent and creative abilities will be prioritized over equipment ownership.
