Our Partner, NOEMA Consulting, was established in 2018 as an innovative spin-off from a larger SAP Services Group and today it is one of the fastest-growing IT Services companies in the Middle East with offices across GCC and Europe. They are currently looking to grow further and seeking an experienced fully remote Technical Writer.

Mission:

As a Technical Writer, your mission will be to play a pivotal role in developing clear, engaging, and intuitive documentation. You will be expected to work independently but also in collaboration with various teams to ensure that the documentation meets high-quality standards and effectively supports the client’s needs. To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to convert technical details into business process language for non-technical users.

You will be responsible for: 

  • Creating, editing, and refining technical documents, including user manuals, installation guides, developer guides, and help documents, ensuring clarity and accessibility to users with varying levels of expertise. The documentation should be intuitive, engaging, and accessible, incorporating visual aids and maintaining a consistent style and tone
  • Elaborating with software developers, product managers, and technical leads to gather all necessary technical details for documentation, ensuring an accurate representation of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) and back-end systems (e.g., Server Architecture, Databases, Application Logic)
  • Creating and managing a structured documentation repository on wiki platforms, ensuring that the content is up-to-date, organized, and accessible to the relevant internal teams
  • Producing visual aids like diagrams, charts, and screenshots to supplement the textual content to enhance understanding and retention
  • Assisting in the development of training materials and documentation to support new employees’ onboarding and existing staff development

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or Journalism
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
  • Proven technical writing experience (3 years minimum) in the software industry, with a portfolio of user guides and documentation
  • Strong understanding of documentation best practices and content management systems
  • Excellent ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner to a non-technical audience
  • Proficient in documentation and design tools with a strong emphasis on wiki software such as Confluence
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
