Technical Director

The ideal person has a keen sense of what works and what doesn’t in audio and is a natural storyteller and experienced with filmed podcasts. Ideally, they have experience with and insight into conversation-driven shows and understand the challenges of filming remotely. This position reports to our Lead Video Editor and will work closely with our Content Editor.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Technical Director to produce and direct our remotely filmed podcasts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audiovisual production and live streaming with a keen eye for detail and a passion for Football.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Production:
• Manage all technical aspects of remotely filmed podcasts, including audio recording, video production, and live streaming.
• Ensure high-quality audio and video capture, editing, and post-production.
• Coordinate with hosts, guests, and production team to ensure smooth and seamless recording sessions.
• Equipment Management:
• Select, maintain, and upgrade audiovisual equipment as needed; Maintain database of who has what equipment
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Team Leadership:
• Collaborate with producers and content creators to develop creative concepts and execute them effectively as well as ensure that our content standards are met.
• Provide guidance and support to ensure the team meets production deadlines and maintains high-quality standards.
• Quality Control:
• Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the highest level of audiovisual production.
• Innovation and Strategy:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in audiovisual production and podcasting.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in production workflows and techniques.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of remotely filmed podcasts.

Requirements

• Interest in Fantasy Football and/or Sports Betting 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in audiovisual production, with a focus on podcasts, live streaming, or similar content.
• Proficiency in audio mixing, video editing, live graphics and live streaming software, specifically:
• VMIX and/or OBS
• Adobe Premiere
• VIZ FLOWICS or Singular.Live
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Excellent on-the-fly problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A powerful PC. 
• Extremely fast & reliable internet connection.
