Technical Account Manager (Denmark, Switzerland, or Germany)

One of our companies is currently looking for a Technical Account Manager in Denmark, Switzerland, or Germany.

We are seeking a Technical Account Manager to act as a strategic technical partner to customers in the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors. You will collaborate closely with scientific stakeholders and R&D IT teams to guide the architecture, implementation, and long-term success of data-driven solutions. From presales through delivery, your focus will be on accelerating adoption, improving outcomes, and aligning solutions with customer goals. You’ll also play a key role in identifying technical risks, supporting expansion opportunities, and contributing to strategic planning across teams.

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the main technical contact for key accounts, guiding solution design and implementation.
  • Drive the lifecycle of customer engagement from onboarding through successful adoption and optimization.
  • Deliver strategic technical advice to align solutions with customers’ scientific and data architecture goals.
  • Lead technical planning and health checks, identifying risks and proposing improvements.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including tailored demonstrations and ROI discussions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional input from sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure delivery excellence.
  • Build strong relationships with scientific and technical decision-makers to foster trust and long-term partnerships.

Requirements

  • Scientific background with academic credentials or at least 5 years of experience in life sciences or pharma.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical architecture or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Proven ability to support commercial technology sales and drive technical value realization.
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred), data governance, and analytics technologies.
  • Familiarity with database systems (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks), BI tools (Tableau, Power BI), and big data frameworks (e.g. Spark).
  • Experience with data modeling and understanding of metadata, data quality, and lineage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working with partners such as Google Cloud and Databricks.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
