Strategic Partnerships Manager
About Climate Arc
Climate Arc (Arc) is a philanthropic funded nonprofit organization working to accelerate climate action by unlocking the private capital needed to meet global climate targets. We ensure that financial decision makers have the tools, data and skillsets needed to direct capital to the right solutions at speed and scale. Arc implements its strategy through grantmaking and proprietary products and programs delivered by our in-house capability.
About the opportunity
Arc’s strategic outputs of climate transition pathways, corporate analysis and human capacity building are principally geared toward supporting financial decisions, but they are an important and powerful toolkit for the entire ecosystem of actors working to address climate issues. Our activities are deeply rooted in a dynamic collaboration model with all key stakeholders to jointly address the opportunities that lie in actions from corporates, governments, sub-nationals and individuals.
Arc is now recruiting for a Strategic Partnerships Manager to drive these critical relationships and add value to the community as a whole. You will be responsible for building relationships particularly with those organisations which are working on the same cause but are not directly our grantees or funders. These can be NGOs working on climate analytics solutions that fall outside of our funding remit, or alliances and coalitions looking to address climate finance.
You will be the central focal point for these organizations’ engagement with Arc, while working closely with others in the team who own relationships with grantees, financial institutions and funders.
What you will be doing:
- Conduct stakeholder mapping, research, and analysis to identify strategies and tactics to effectively engage organizations to advance Arc’s goals
- Own Arc’s engagement with organizations and alliances that we do not fund, or do not fund us, and are critical partners nonetheless
- Keep up to date with partners’ work, and make connections with Arc’s work so that impact can be scaled and amplified
- Work with internal subject matter experts to answer partners’ technical queries
- Lead meetings with partners and relevant Arc colleagues to align key actors on goals, progress and blockers
- Lead progression of relationship formalisation such as MOUs with critical partners where appropriate
- Monitor the impact of partner relationships and provide briefings for leadership whilst proactively identify challenges and aligning stakeholders’ interest to reach solutions
