One of our companies is currently looking for a Specialized Instruction Educator in Oregon, United States.

This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support students remotely across Oregon. Whether you’re looking for part-time or full-time availability, you’ll deliver personalized, impactful instruction to students with diverse learning needs, particularly those requiring compensatory education or support while suspended or expelled. You’ll collaborate with families and fellow educators to ensure each student has a clear path toward academic growth and personal development, all while working from the comfort of your home.

Accountabilities:

  • Deliver individualized remote instruction aligned with each student’s IEP and educational goals.
  • Provide compensatory education services and support for suspended or expelled students.
  • Design and implement tailored lesson plans focused on literacy and foundational skills.
  • Conduct screenings, monitor progress, and perform outcome assessments.
  • Collaborate with families to schedule services and provide resources for at-home support.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of sessions and student progress in line with internal policies.

Requirements

  • Active Special Education license in the state of Oregon.
  • Experience with structured literacy programs such as Orton Gillingham or Wilson.
  • Familiarity with IEP creation, case management, and differentiated instruction.
  • Background in working with diverse learners, especially in reading and writing.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with students, families, and school staff.
  • Proficient with telehealth platforms and virtual teaching tools.
  • A quiet, private home workspace with reliable internet, computer, and webcam.
  • Availability during school hours (Monday–Friday, 8am–3pm), with a minimum of 10 hours/week.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
