Our software company is actively seeking a Software Tester. 

As we expand our range of product offerings, our commitment to delivering high-quality software remains strong, and we are adding additional members to our Quality Assurance team. 

As our family of SaaS products grows, our steadfast commitment to high-quality software continues, prompting us to expand our Quality Assurance team.

This is a full-time, permanent, remote position based in Cape Town, South Africa. We request that candidates from other areas refrain from applying at this time.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As a Software Testing Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and reliability of our software products. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing Requirements: Understand user stories, use cases, and requirements for validity and feasibility.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Perform various levels of testing, including UX/UI and system testing.
  • Defect Management: Analyze test results, identify errors, bugs, and usability issues. Track and manage software defects and inconsistencies, providing recommendations for repairs.
  • Quality Assurance: Provide QA support and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Development team and Customer Support team for smooth coordination and understanding of project needs.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working remotely for a UK or US-based company.
  • Must be absolutely fluent in English with excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
  • Great organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong technological aptitude.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office software.
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working for a technology company.
  • Basic software testing experience or other IT experience
  • Familiarity with systems such as Zendesk and JIRA
  • University degree
  • You love playing chess and solving puzzles
