Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at OpenBorder, you’ll lead key projects and shape the systems that support global shipping, tax compliance, and merchant services. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end feature delivery, mentor other engineers, and influence technical direction across the stack.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship full product features with minimal support
• Contribute to technical design of scalable systems
• Write tested, documented code across backend and frontend services
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate across the team
• Work in our stack: Java, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, Next.js, Nest.js, AWS, GCP

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Experience delivering features in a production environment
• Strong fundamentals in software development
• Familiarity with both backend and frontend systems
• Emphasis on testing, documentation, and clean code
