Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Asset Management Specialist for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.

The role of Software Asset Management Specialist includes optimizing the purchase, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of software applications. Key responsibilities involve managing software inventory, ensuring license compliance, optimizing costs, managing vendor relationships, mitigating risks, developing processes and policies, overseeing software lifecycle management, and conducting audits and reporting. The goal is to align software assets with business objectives, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Entitlement Tracking: Upload procurement details and create licenses for distribution and client systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with ELPs and cost tracking/reporting.
  • Contract Management: Accurately upload and track contract details, including terms, to prevent overage penalties and facilitate major renewals with vendors like IBM & Microsoft.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Perform routine license assessments, manage compliance risks for licenses, and ensure correct ELPs for tied licenses.
  • SaaS Management: Coordinate the rollout of SaaS manager to deployed applications and track entitlements for SaaS apps to complete the rollout process.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate ad hoc reports for end-user usage, manage overlapping evidence for installed applications, and provide data analysis for various software and hardware lifecycle data.
  • System Administration: Monitor Oracle instances for audit evidence, manage unassigned subnets, and provide technical support for Flexera systems.
  • End-of-Life (EOL) Management: Handle EOL reporting and tracking, manage notifications, and redesign tools as required for IT visibility.
  • Financial Management: Provide software cost estimates, review and validate financial reports, and manage major vendor software to ensure compliance.
  • Client Services Support: Process end-user software requests, manage software portals, and facilitate renewals.
  • Project Support: Lead cross-functional teams for problem-solving initiatives, support major projects, and provide recommendations based on software usage analysis.

Total Work Experience: 4-6 years

Work Schedule: 6am-5pm PST

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
