Position Information

SEARCH has an immediate opening for a Full-TimeSocial Media Manager/Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team. This position is remote based but may report to a local office pending candidate location and preference. This role will be responsible for creating and managing social media content across all platforms to increase following and brand awareness. This position will also lead efforts to develop print and digital marketing collateral for use in proposals, technical reports, trade shows/conferences, among other venues. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Social Media Manager/Graphic Designer will collaborate on broader marketing strategies and support social media reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy for SEARCH on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter).
  • Develop and maintain a social media plan and annual content calendar.
  • Create and edit content across all SEARCH social media platforms.
  • Identify and engage new audiences through social media opportunities such as new features on platforms, partnerships, and trends.
  • Measure and evaluate social media performance against strategic goals and objectives.
  • Work with the leadership of SEARCH to drive business-to-business (B2B) awareness through the development of valuable social media content.
  • Develop an extraordinary level of knowledge of SEARCH, business partners, industry trends and customer needs.
  • Implement the brand style guide to ensure consistency and quality of brand positioning and visual identity on all SEARCH social media platforms.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Graphic Design

  • Develop new print and digital marketing collateral for use in proposals, technical reports, trade shows/conferences, among other venues.
  • Update existing templates for print and digital marketing collateral.
  • Provide marketing support by developing and editing content to include in technical outputs and internal/external presentations.
  • Craft a compelling visual narrative that captures the SEARCH mission, vision, values, and brand story.
  • Implement the brand style guide to ensure consistency and quality of brand positioning and visual identity in all marketing collateral.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing/Advertising, Graphic Design, or Communications.
  • Minimum 5 years working in a marketing role with social media and graphic design experience within a technical or science-based industry.
  • Experience managing paid social ad campaigns and organic social campaigns.
  • Experience editing photos and videos on platforms like Canva, Adobe, etc.
  • Experience working within Meta Business or other social software to pull data analytics and audience feedback.
  • Possess a sharp eye for design and visual aesthetics to translate concepts into visually compelling content.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.


Qualifications Preferred

  • Understanding of the Cultural Resource Management (CRM) industry (firms, clients, contracts, new research, and projects) at the regionwide, nationwide, and worldwide level.
