Social Media Engagement Specialist (ENG)

This document outlines the key responsibilities, performance expectations, and goals for our existing Engagement Team members. The role focuses on social media scheduling, audience engagement, content monitoring, and account health maintenance to enhance client brand presence and interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Scheduling & Optimization

  • Use scheduling platform to schedule and publish approved content batches
  • Optimize posting times based on platform analytics for maximum reach and engagement.
  • Double-check captions, links, and tags before publishing to ensure accuracy.

Audience Engagement & Community Interaction

  • Respond promptly and professionally to comments and direct messages.
  • Engage with followers and related community accounts (likes, comments, shares,followers/following)
  • Monitor and reply to reviews (especially on Google My Business).

Content Monitoring & Account Health

  • Identify and correct flagged content or posting errors.
  • Monitor account status for login/security issues.
  • Assist in onboarding client accounts to scheduling tools.

Community Growth & Influencer Outreach

  • Engage with niche communities (e.g. Reddit) and industry influencers to drive growth.
  • Identify and support potential brand advocates.

Account Setup & Maintenance

  • Set up or optimize client social media profiles (bios, profile images, links).
  • Connect accounts to scheduling tools for streamlined scheduling.

Performance Reporting & Coordination

  • Share proof of work and performance reports regularly.
  • Collaborate with design, copywriting, and client-facing teams on content revisions or approvals.
  • Handle urgent or special content requests (e.g., holidays or announcements).

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing multiple client accounts (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite).
  • Background in marketing, social media management, or public relations (preferred).
  • Proven experience in online community building and direct social media engagement.
  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Creativity and empathy in handling client voice and brand tone.
  • Ability to interpret engagement analytics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Willingness to work in US time zones (PST, EST, CST).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience handling large-volume client portfolios.
  • Familiarity with Google My Business, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Instagram strategies.
  • Knowledge of emerging tools in AI-driven content scheduling or engagement.

System and Work Setup Requirements:

  • A stable and high-speed internet connection preferably 25 MBPS or higher with backup in cases of power interruption or service provider issues.
  • Own PC/laptop with 8GB RAM, and a processor of Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 3 / 2013 Mac equivalent or higher; Windows 10 or above / Catalina 10.15 or newer; with up-to-date web browsers, and security software, 500GB/128 SSD storage
  • Headset/earphone with noise cancellation and webcam at 720p or higher resolution
  • A designated, quiet, and well-organized workspace free from distractions to facilitate focused work
