SharePoint Developer

Contingent upon contract award.
SharePoint Developer II supports the Program Manager Tactical Communications and Electronic Warfare (PM TCE) Program Management Office (PMO) by maintaining and updating the MCSC PM TCE website, in accordance with government direction and approval, ensuring the information displayed is safeguarded and in compliance with established policies and guidelines.
The candidate shall:
- Perform day-to-day management of Microsoft 365 environment, including SharePoint, Teams, PowerApps, Forms, Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Tasks, Insights, Planner, Power BI, Stream, Visio and Power Automate.
- Maintain and recommend updates to the PM TCE Microsoft 365 environment solutions, building site taxonomies, forms, and repositories within the PM TCE environment.
- Maintain and update the Microsoft 365 environment and create and manage the hierarchy of those SharePoint and Teams sites and subsites to ensure uniform navigation across the PM TCE SharePoint Portal. Monitor performance issues and troubleshoot and test custom solutions as well as workflow processes.
- Establish alerts and shall monitor activity on business-critical information. Monitor usage and site dormancy, monitor excessive complexity, and recommend and streamline alternatives. Identify and investigate errors and escalate issues when required.
- Provide first-level help, troubleshooting, and managing resolutions for operational problems.
- Share knowledge and mentor team members on SharePoint and MS Teams technologies.
- Communicate outages and issues to staff in a timely manner.
- Build collaboration technologies within the organization.
- Create self-service options and specialized tools or platforms.
- Ensure all site development is compliant with Marine Corps and MCSC Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) network constraints.
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry developments in Microsoft SharePoint.
- Follow established governance and change control standards.
- Design and develop site collections with enhanced search capabilities.
- Determine architecture and metadata for storing legacy documentation.
- Customize search features for efficient data retrieval.
- Basic knowledge in software development languages (JavaScript, HTML, XML, jQuery).
- Understanding of SharePoint infrastructure technologies (database, network, security, server, storage, workstations).
- Proficiency in SharePoint Designer SIP, Microsoft Project, Excel Services, Word, and InfoPath.
- Perform system-level database and software maintenance.
- Create and maintain data structures for lists or libraries as required.
Requirements
- 3-10 years, with a bachelor’s degree, of experience supporting Government programmatic planning, coordination, and execution of the cost, schedule, and performance of all aspects of Government programs. 15 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Will be required to follow all Federal COVID-19 protocols as they pertain to contractors.
- Travel will be required from time to time to Stafford to ensure their MCEN computer continues to work properly.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting may be required.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
