Seren Mentor- Oxbridge, Leading Universities, Medicine, Vet Science & INTL

  • Anywhere

Equal Education Partners delivers a mentoring programme to several hundred year 12 learners in Wales on behalf of the Seren Academy programme – a Welsh Government initiative and Wales’ flagship higher education access initiative for talented learners to support them with their university applications.

As a mentor on the Seren University Admissions Mentoring Programme you will work with mentees you are matched with to support them with their university applications. Mentors will plan and deliver up to three structured one-to-one and potentially small group mentoring sessions to mentees. Mentors may also be asked to conduct group subject/university sessions depending on uptake in subject and/or university choices. Mentors may work with several mentees, depending on demand and capacity.

By being matched with mentees with similar aspirations to those the mentors have achieved (i.e. subjects studied and university destinations), mentors will share experiences, resources and top tips for their studied subjects and university destinations. Depending on subject specialism, the opportunity involves mentoring from May to December 2024. Mentors will receive online training and ongoing support throughout the course of the programme. Mentoring sessions will be held online using a virtual platform.
