This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the core infrastructure of a leading DataOps platform built around Apache Airflow. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of open-source innovation and cloud-scale architecture, building systems that power critical data pipelines across major global enterprises. You’ll join a high-caliber R&D team solving complex challenges in distributed systems, platform reliability, and cloud-native development. Accountabilities:
- Write robust, scalable, and well-tested code to support mission-critical services.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to define technical solutions that meet user needs.
- Participate in regular code reviews, mentoring peers and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to on-call rotations and help resolve incidents to maintain platform reliability.
- Act as a subject matter expert for specific technologies, taking ownership of technical direction and roadmap for your areas.
- Create and maintain clear internal documentation for systems, workflows, and standards.
- Lead efforts to proactively identify, debug, and resolve performance or reliability bottlenecks.
- Work within CI/CD pipelines and help streamline automation across the software delivery lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably with cloud-native or backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python and Go, with strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes environments.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and how to design, consume, and secure them.
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest) and strong TDD/CI practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
- Proven ability to estimate project timelines and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Passion for operational excellence and building reliable, scalable platforms.
- Strong understanding of version control (Git), automation, debugging, and performance tuning.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with Apache Airflow or data orchestration tools.
- Prior work on a SaaS platform or infrastructure product.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Docker, Helm, Terraform, or Ansible.
