One of our companies is currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Performance in Colorado.
This role is ideal for a backend engineer passionate about high-scale distributed systems and performance optimization. You’ll work at the core of a critical mobile measurement platform, helping to design and operate real-time infrastructure that processes billions of events per day. This role involves deep system-level thinking, crafting low-latency services, optimizing attribution logic, and building resilient data pipelines. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, own major technical projects, and have direct impact on how marketers evaluate their campaign effectiveness.
Accountabilities:
- Design and maintain large-scale, event-driven backend systems that support billions of data points daily.
- Implement and optimize core attribution logic, focusing on low latency, reliability, and performance.
- Improve and modernize systems built in Java and Kotlin, enhancing scalability and system throughput.
- Collaborate with product, SDK, data science, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and shared technical direction.
- Take full ownership of the development lifecycle—from planning and architecture to monitoring and incident resolution.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, system observability, deployment strategies, and incident response.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in backend engineering with expertise in Java and/or Kotlin.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data streaming, and event-based architecture.
- Proficient in tools and technologies such as Kafka, Aerospike, DynamoDB, or Redis.
- Solid experience with performance tuning, low-latency service development, and error resilience.
- Familiarity with mobile measurement and privacy-centric frameworks (SKAdNetwork, Privacy Sandbox) is a plus.
- Comfortable writing clean, testable code and mentoring others in code quality and system design.
- Based in the Denver metro area or open to a fully remote setup within Colorado.
