As a Senior Software Engineer, you are an expert at developing software solutions from start to finish.  You must be able to work independently, be creative with your solutions and think on your feet.

You will serve as an in-house expert, both for managers from other departments who need software solutions and the less experienced staff within the Engineering department. You will also be responsible for keeping projects on track, building comprehensive documentation, and keeping proprietary information confidential.

You should definitely be the type of person that appreciates diversity in your day, and challenges outside of your comfort level!

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Designing and architecting new features with a focus on reusability, client experience, and speed.
  • Exploring and implementing ways to enhance the customer experience by creating interactive and engaging data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Enhancing user experience for large data sets, ensuring optimal page load times and efficient code.
  • Collaborating closely with UI/UX and product teams to create intuitive and innovative features.
  • Liaising with backend engineers to understand network protocols and implement rapid API and UI changes.
  • Directly interacting with customers and sales to quickly resolve software issues.
  • Work in a remote setup, effectively collaborating across different time zones.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Frontend Development Expertise: At least 5 years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on UI/UX design.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in modern JavaScript frameworks and tools such as Vue.js, React, TypeScript, and PNPM.
  • Development Practices: Proficiency in Git, command line interface (CLI) tools, and contemporary development methodologies, including agile and test-driven development.
  • Secure Development:  Familiarity and facility with secure development practices, including OWASP Top 20, code-scanning tools, and peer review.
  • CI/CD and Deployment: Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, frontend deployment strategies, and automation tools.
  • API Integration: Demonstrable experience in integrating frontend applications with diverse backend APIs.
  • Data Visualization: Skilled in building dynamic visualizations, charts, and interactive UI components, preferably with libraries like D3.js.
  • Innovation and Problem-Solving: Proven ability to innovate and develop solutions in new technology areas.
  • Remote Collaboration: Effective at working in a remote environment, experienced in using collaboration tools like Slack and Zoom.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with networking protocols (IPv4/6, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, etc.) and router/switch configuration or infrastructure automation is highly advantageous.
