Role Overview
They are seeking a proactive Senior SEO Strategist to enhance organic search performance and contribute to overall marketing strategy. Key role in optimizing existing products and expanding into new areas. Emphasis on soft skills, critical thinking, and rapid learning. Strong communication, independent thinking, and proactive problem-solving essential across all marketing functions.
Responsibilities
SEO Strategy and Analysis
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies
- Utilize tools like SEMrush, Google Search Console, Keyword Planner, Google Trends, Ahrefs, and Exploding Topics for research and analysis
- Create and maintain SEO plans using Notion and Excel
- Analyze competitor strategies and identify opportunities
Content Strategy and Creation
- Develop content strategies aligned with SEO goals for existing and new products
- Create detailed SEO content briefs
- Use Clearscope or similar tools to optimize content
- Produce high-quality content that outperforms competitors
- Write product marketing copy and blog posts
Link Building and Authority
- Improve website authority scores
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks
Technical SEO
- Create tickets for the engineering team to address technical SEO issues
- Conduct regular SEO audits and implement improvements
Email Marketing
- Optimize email marketing campaigns and flows
Reporting and Communication
- Provide regular reports on SEO performance and content effectiveness
- Communicate blockers and challenges proactively via Slack
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement SEO strategies
Requirements
- Must overlap with PT (9am – 7pm) for a few hours M-F
- Must have their own laptop and reliable internet (5mb/s+)
- Must be able to work at least 40 hrs/wk
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- High level of proactivity and independent thinking
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and strategies
- Demonstrated agency and ownership in previous roles
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in SEO and content strategy (3+ years preferred)
- Basic proficiency in SEO tools (SEMrush, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, etc.)
- Familiarity with content writing and optimization
