Senior Scrum Master
Role Overview:
Iversoft is seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to join our dynamic project management team. This role involves working closely with a dedicated software development team and product team, guiding them through Agile practices to ensure efficient and successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Scrum methodology, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of software development processes.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating Scrum Events: This includes organizing and leading daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Supporting Product Owners: Work closely with Product Owners to manage the product backlog, refine user stories, and ensure that the team understands the project goals and priorities​.
- Tracking and Reporting: Track key performance metrics such as team velocity and sprint progress, and ensure that these metrics are transparent to the team and stakeholders, helping to maintain focus and drive continuous improvement​
- Estimation and planning: Support the product and development teams by facilitating estimation workshops and owning the project timeline.
- Removing Impediments: Identify and remove any obstacles that hinder the team’s progress. This can involve resolving conflicts, managing external dependencies, or addressing any issues, ensuring the team can meeting their sprint goals.
- Coach and mentor the Scrum team: on Agile best practices, promoting continuous improvement and self-organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Agile processes across the organization and drive the adoption of Agile principles.
- Foster a productive environment where team members feel ownership over their work and are motivated to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Strong expertise in Scrum and Agile methodologies, with a deep understanding of related frameworks such as JIT or Kanban.
- Proficient in using Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist certification is a plus.
- Ability to manage complex projects and navigate the dependencies between team capacity, prioritization, and software quality.
