Senior Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Role Summary

Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, you will be a hands-on Platform Engineer responsible for the rollout and maintenance of Ozone API infrastructure, with a focus on Kubernetes clusters and their surrounding tools.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Ozone API infrastructure, tools and services to ensure secure, scalable and, reliable operation, including:
• Rolling out a new Kubernetes-based hosting platform for our SaaS product
• Creating and maintaining automation products relating to the management of our infrastructure
• Logging, monitoring and observability systems 
• Investigate and resolve escalated technical queries relating to the platforms.
• Work with engineering, delivery and product teams to deliver ongoing improvements to the platform.
• Identity opportunities to automate and improve existing processes. 
• Create and publish internal documentation, guides and playbooks

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of operating and deploying Kubernetes in a production environment is a must.

• Experience managing Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform. 
• Experience creating scripts and utilities to automate repetitive maintenance tasks.
• Experience of containers and container orchestration, and building deployment pipelines for development teams. 
• Knowledge of Rancher, Argo and AWS is advantageous but not essential. 
• Experience working in ISO 27001 and SOC2 compliant environments.
• Exposure to iterative/agile development methodologies, and experience of enabling delivery through technology.  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple senior stakeholders (internally and externally).
• Proven track record managing individuals and teams.
• Excellent English oral and written communication.
