The Business Systems Team within Docker’s Product Growth division serves as the cornerstone of Docker’s Go-To-Market technological infrastructure, facilitating the realization of departmental objectives through innovative, scalable, and efficient systems design centralized around CRM (Salesforce). This role will lead not only the technical design and implementation of solutions but also the leadership and cultivation of a team dedicated to technical development and administration. Acting as a liaison between technology and business realms, this role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and adept people management skills to fortify and propel company-wide endeavors, fostering digital transformation and a strong information architecture backbone.

A successful candidate must possess in-depth technical prowess in the Salesforce platform, encompassing its customization, configuration, and integration capabilities with over 40 other systems across our quote-to-cash and customer journey lifecycle. You should boast a track record of architecting and implementing solutions that adeptly address intricate business requirements while remaining scalable and sustainable. You have strong leadership and people management abilities, excel at building a high performing and inclusive team, and mentoring technical talent while fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation. Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of Salesforce developers and administrators, fostering an environment of continuous growth and innovation. Set clear performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and promote collaboration to ensure team excellence.

  • Architect innovative Salesforce solutions and enhancements that not only align with business requirements and security strategies but also prioritize information architecture, data cleanliness, and end-user delight. Design scalable and maintainable solutions that cater to evolving business needs from outbounding efforts and across the quote to cash lifecycle.

  • Tailor and configure Salesforce environments to optimize functionality and enhance user experience, prioritizing data cleanliness and capture. Implement bespoke solutions utilizing Lightning Components, Apex, Visualforce, and seamless API integrations.

  • Safeguard data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with stringent data protection regulations. Develop and manage user roles, security settings, access controls, and sharing rules, ensuring comprehensive data management and security protocols.

  • Develop and maintain seamless integrations between Salesforce and other business systems, emphasizing data flow coherence and functionality across platforms. Utilize middleware tools and APIs to ensure smooth interoperability.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, offer expert guidance on Salesforce capabilities, and deliver customized solutions that align with overarching business objectives and priorities.

  • Continuously monitor system performance and implement best practices for optimization, providing recommendations to enhance system efficiency and elevate user experience.

  • Lead Salesforce projects from inception to execution, ensuring timely delivery within allocated scope and budget. Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and drive successful implementation.

  • Establish and maintain a robust feedback loop with other Operations leaders to iteratively enhance business processes. Leverage insights and feedback to refine and optimize CRM solutions in alignment with evolving business needs, with a particular focus on information architecture and data-driven decision-making.

  • Implement and uphold Salesforce.com best practices to ensure consistency and quality across the platform. Enforce a structured change management process to manage updates, enhancements, and new feature rollouts, minimizing disruptions and preserving system integrity while prioritizing information architecture and user-centric design principles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 10+ years hands-on experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales and Service Cloud, CPQ, Revenue Intelligence, CRM Analytics, and Community.

  • Experience integrating accounting, ERP, tax, and finance components and modules.

  • Proficiency in Lightning Component Framework, Apex, Visualforce, and API integrations.

  • Experience in SaaS Go-To-Market technology, demonstrating a clear understanding of the strategies and technologies that drive successful SaaS business models.

  • Experience leading and managing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within an agile framework. This includes planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality software solutions in alignment with business goals.

  • Hands-on and in-depth experience with the administration and customization of Enterprise SaaS process and technical support solutions. This involves not just a theoretical understanding but actual experience in configuring, customizing, and maintaining enterprise-level SaaS applications.

  • Achieve a detailed understanding of Dockers GTM and quote-to-cash processes and systems architecture. Be able to articulate how the current systems support the business and where enhancements could be made.

  • Review and identify areas of technical debt that could hinder future scalability or efficiency. Prioritize these areas based on their impact on the system’s performance and the business.

  • Establish a clear, actionable quarterly roadmap that outlines key initiatives, projects, and enhancements to tackle the identified technical debt and other areas of improvement.

  • Identify and begin addressing low-hanging fruitquick wins that can immediately improve system efficiency or user experience.

  • Start to take ownership of the technical deployment processes for the GTM tooling stack, ensuring smooth rollouts and updates.

  • Size and prioritize backlog items, considering their business benefits and potential ROI. Plan the work for the coming months based on these priorities.

  • Oversee the implementation of a consistent agile delivery process. Identify key delivery KPIs to measure and improve the teams performance and the success of the initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in Salesforce system design, development, and administration.
