We’re seeking a skilled Magento Engineer to join our e-commerce development team. You’ll be instrumental in crafting and maintaining robust, scalable Magento-based solutions that adhere to industry best practices.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multifunctional teams to grasp and interpret business requirements, translating them into technical solutions.
  • Develop, customize, and uphold Magento-based e-commerce websites, encompassing theme integration, module development, and back-end enhancements.
  • Conduct comprehensive code reviews, ensuring compliance with coding standards, best practices, and Magento development guidelines.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs within Magento applications in a timely manner.
  • Implement and oversee third-party integrations and extensions to enrich e-commerce functionality.
  • Enhance website performance, focusing on factors like page load times, responsiveness, and scalability.
  • Stay abreast of Magento updates, security patches, and best practices, executing timely upgrades.
  • Collaborate closely with front-end developers and designers to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing user experience.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and testing processes to preemptively identify and resolve issues before deployment.
  • Foster documentation and knowledge sharing initiatives within the development team.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Proven track record as a Magento Developer or Engineer, backed by a robust portfolio of Magento projects.
  • Proficiency in Magento development technologies, including PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Familiarity with Magento best practices, architecture patterns, and design principles.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, with effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and agile development methodologies.
  • Previous exposure to marketplace e-commerce is advantageous.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with other e-commerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages or frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based hosting services.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce websites.
