About the role:
Join our talented DevOps engineers on their journey to level up CloudTalk’s infrastructure with the latest industry standard security tooling. If you are a fan of automation, you hate manual changes, then you are already one step in the team. Our mission is to promote infrastructure best practices, to achieve secure, high-available, and scalable infrastructure which serves our customers.
What you will do:
- You will be CloudTalk’s ambassador for security, provide knowledge about best practices, make sure they are followed by the Dev Teams, maintain and extend security tooling
- Evaluate security threats in CloudTalk applications and infrastructure
- Lead pentesting activities by 3rd party companies
- Extend logging sources for possible security threats
- Create and extend security dashboards, reports and alerting in our SIEM tool
- Be stakeholder for security of new architectures and designs
- Design, build, harden, and maintain the core infrastructure used by all of CloudTalk’s engineering teams running in AWS
- Automate every aspect of our infrastructure to remove any human intervention as much as possible
- Develop effective tooling, alerts and response to both identify and address reliability risks
- Partner with product engineering teams to debug production outages and carry out action items to improve the reliability of those systems
- Participate in tech design reviews for new features, products, or pieces of infrastructure
What we are looking for:
- Experience with security tools: Proficiency with such tools as IDS/IPS systems, vulnerability scanners
- Knowledge of AWS security practices: deep understanding of AWS security mechanisms and best practices is crucial
- Knowledge of scripting
- Possibility to read code and find security issues
- Vulnerability management
- Integration of security into CI/CD
- Basic understanding of Terraform
Nice to have:
- Basic understanding of auditing database and DB security
- Experience with container security, VOIP security
- Experience with Kubernetes hardening
- Experience working with SIEM tools
- Experience with Ansible
