About Our Client:

Session AI is a cutting-edge technology company on a mission to transform digital customer engagement with real-time data intelligence. As they transition from legacy monolithic infrastructure to modern cloud-native architectures, they seek to build a robust, scalable foundation leveraging AWS and soon GCP. Their current engineering team is distributed globally, but they lack US time zone coverage—creating a critical need for an experienced, proactive Senior Cloud Engineer.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will drive the migration from legacy systems to modern, cloud-native infrastructure on AWS and GCP. You will design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments, ensuring best practices across deployments and infrastructure-as-code. You’ll provide strategic guidance on cloud architecture, lead adoption of modern DevOps principles, and enable the engineering team to succeed in a cloud-first approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS (and future GCP environments).
  • Lead the transition from monolithic systems to modern cloud-native solutions, including containerization on EKS.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for cloud environments.
  • Guide engineering teams in adopting cloud best practices and automating infrastructure.
  • Support and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues aligned with US time zones.
  • Contribute to multi-cloud strategies and upcoming GCP expansion.
  • Document infrastructure design and processes to promote knowledge sharing and maintainability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar, with leadership in cloud migrations.
  • Deep expertise in AWS, especially EKS (Kubernetes) and Athena.
  • Proficient in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience designing and operating secure, scalable cloud environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, container orchestration, and automation.
  • Exposure to GCP or ability to quickly ramp up on new cloud platforms.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Availability to work within US time zones.
  • Based in Latin America.

Bonus Points:

  • Proven success modernizing legacy systems to microservices or containerized architectures.
  • Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with observability tools and cloud security best practices.
