We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Product Owner to join our team to lead the charge of the delivery of a new website experience for a healthcare-focused government department. You will be working at the inception of a significant digital experience transformation program for one of the agency’s newest and most significant clients.

You will help our wider cross-functional team define and document product experiences, working side-by-side with client teams to serve as the bridge between CX and design and technology delivery. This role will focus on the creation and ownership of the release roadmap, product backlog, user stories and acceptance criteria, as well as shared Scrum responsibilities. This role will work closely with the product design team, responsible for defining viability and creating the end experience, and the delivery team, responsible for technical implementation.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Build a deep understanding of the website ecosystem for our client and the vast content landscape across their sites, working closely with our Content Strategy team.
  • Lead conversations with client stakeholders to capture requirements in structured workshops, translating requirements to briefs and user stories for the Design and Technical delivery teams.
  • Support the Strategy and Technical team with the ownership of the product roadmap and release plan.
  • Support in the strategy and delivery plan for the content migration from a legacy platform to a new platform.
  • Lead prioritzation workshops to define the Release 1 experience and scope, and future release within a clear roadmap.
  • Own and manage the product backlog and release plan
  • Support ongoing communication and visibility to the client of the website delivery status.
  • Support the planning and facilitation of key scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, grooming, and prioritization.
  • Support estimations and planning with the client and internal teams, ensuring stakeholders understand constraints.
  • Creating and delivering client presentations as needed

  • Strong written skills for presentation and written report creation
  • Strong client relationship management and presentation skills (this is a client-facing role)
  • Being a proactive, example-setting member of a large project team, pushing daily for task and milestone completion and fostering a healthy sense of urgency
  • Building and maintaining a strong relationship with client stakeholders and technology specialists, establishing yourself as a trusted and authoritative presence for the client team
  • Working closely with your colleagues in strategy, technology and customer experience to help define the experience transformation roadmap and ensure that business, customer and technology requirements are considered appropriately
  • Work proactively with your account team and department head to manage your own workload and prevent over or under-utilization
  • Communicating progress and appropriate escalation to your assigned project’s account team

This is a senior role and you will be expected to hit the ground running:

  • At least 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst/PO (or similar) delivering website transformation projects
  • Previous consultancy/agency experience
  • Experience with medical and healthcare clients
  • Experience in eliciting, documenting and prioritizing requirements from all relevant sources
  • Experience breaking UX and design artefacts down for delivery by a technical team
  • A strong understanding of digital technology, systems integration and implementation
  • A clear point of view about the business analyst’s essential role in leading successful delivery of digital projects
  • Experience with fast-paced, deadline driven engagements
  • Experience creating and owning a backlog of user stories and AC’s
  • Experience leading a technical Scrum through a sprint lifecycle
