Position Summary:
As a member of the bookkeeping services team, the Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for recording and maintaining a business’ bank transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, payroll and payments. They will record financial data into general ledgers, which are used to produce the balance sheet and income statement. This is a Remote, Full-Time position (30+ hours per week.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
● Reconciliations, month-end, year-end close.
● Manage Dext and publish data into Quickbooks Online
● Sales Tax Processing & Filing
● Time Tracking
● Payroll processing, troubleshooting and onboarding.
● Manage Accounts Receivable process, including importing transactions from e-Commerce or other 3rd party applications.
● Professional, timely correspondence with clients and team members.
● Maintain updated client notes and files.
● Assist with the processing of 1099’s.
● Accounting system setup, cleanup, and conversion are a plus.
● Complete other duties and projects as assigned or needed.

Management/Leadership Duties:

● Maintain professional communication with clients and team via Zoom calls, telephone calls, emails.
● Support the accountant as the client success manager for the client or act as so for bookkeeping only clients.
● Complete data entry, collect transactions, track debits and maintain and monitor financial records.
● Pay invoices, reconcile payroll, complete payroll, ensure Gusto filed tax returns,.
● Using Dext, monitor and process receipts into Quickbooks.

Minimum Requirements:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
● Technologically savvy and comfortable navigating 3rd party software applications.
● Construction experience is a plus but not required.
● 3 years of experience as an accounting professional working with clients.
● Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
● Advanced proficiency in cloud accounting tools.
● Highly proficient in Excel.
● High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
● Experience with Karbon is a plus but not required.
● QBO Pro Advisor Certification required and to maintain.
● Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative remote work environment.
