One of our companies is currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer in Hungary.

This role is a unique opportunity to build and scale backend systems that directly impact millions of users. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll work on the development of high-performance, scalable services that power a global productivity platform. You will take ownership of core infrastructure components, contribute to the architecture of mission-critical systems, and collaborate across teams to deliver seamless user experiences. Accountabilities:

Own the development and maintenance of critical backend services, including APIs and platform integrations
Contribute to system architecture design with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver roadmap features
Develop robust solutions using TypeScript, Node.js, Nest.js, and Express.js
Ensure seamless integration of backend services with third-party tools for enhanced customer experience
Participate in code reviews, system documentation, and continuous improvement of development processes
Proactively challenge existing systems and suggest improvements to backend infrastructure

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in backend development in production environments
Proficiency in TypeScript or other widely used programming languages
Experience with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and solid SQL skills
Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
A proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership and accountability
