Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

4+ years of backend development experience, particularly within product-focused tech startups
Proficient in Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with caching, workers, and queues (Celery, Redis)
Experience working with AWS (ECS/Fargate, EC2, RDS, SQS), Docker; familiarity with Kafka is a plus
Solid system design and architecture capabilities
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
Experience deploying scalable, secure backend services in cloud-native ecosystems
Strong product thinking: Ability to translate specs into clean, maintainable systems from scratch

Bonus Points:

Experience with AI agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen
Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) and optimization of vector databases
Prior experience building chat-based or real-time systems with high throughput
Demonstrated ability to contribute to or scale products from zero-to-one
