Salary Range: A$15.50-$25.00 per hour, based on experience

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Auditor to lead external audits of NFPs and trust accounts under the Associations Incorporation Act 2015, Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 and related frameworks. You’ll manage planning, fieldwork and reporting for charities, community organisations, legal practitioners and motor vehicle dealers. Success means delivering clear audit opinions, detailed management letters and practical recommendations on time and in line with Australian Auditing Standards. You’ll also advise directors on internal controls, risk management and technical accounting matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years’ experience on external audit engagements, including NFP and trust-account audits
  • Proficient in audit software (e.g. CaseWare), advanced Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards, AASB reporting frameworks and ACNC/NFP compliance
  • Experience testing controls over payroll (SCHADS Award), procurement, revenue recognition (AASB 15/1058) and grant acquittals
  • Excellent written and spoken English for report writing, client liaison and presentations
  • Fast and reliable internet connection; your own laptop or desktop suitable for the role; a quiet working environment; a good quality microphone or headset
