Security Engineer (Remote – Poland)

One of our companies is currently looking for a Security Engineer in Poland.
We are looking for a Security Engineer to join an agile and global security team focused on building secure systems and processes in a remote-first, high-growth environment. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the security posture of a fast-evolving tech company by collaborating with engineering, IT, and DevOps teams. You will perform in-depth security reviews, support audits, help develop and enforce policies, and work hands-on to secure cloud infrastructure and applications. This is a remote role open to candidates based in Poland.
Accountabilities:
- Partner with technical teams to design and embed security into infrastructure, applications, and vendor solutions.
- Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and ensure continuous compliance for cloud-based systems.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to data protection policies, legal standards, and best practices.
- Assist in vulnerability management programs including SCA, SAST, DAST, and bug bounty initiatives.
- Support security operations and incident response processes.
- Contribute to integration projects involving acquisitions and internal alignment with security standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation, tooling, and dashboards to support security operations and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in security engineering or architecture within software organizations.
- Experience in securing cloud platforms (multi-cloud experience preferred).
- Proficiency with scripting (Python preferred) and Linux command line.
- Familiarity with at least one vulnerability management tool (e.g. Wiz, Rapid7, Sumo).
- Understanding of cryptographic protocols and security standards (e.g., PKI, TLS/SSL).
- Knowledge of frameworks such as CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting.
