Rust Engineer – Crypto

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Rust Engineer – Crypto – Remote position. Candidates need to be able to work on a UTC-7 to UTC+3 (PST to CET) schedule.

We are looking for a Rust engineer who will help architect and develop the smart-contract infrastructure and tooling for our platform. You’ll work on adding features to our smart-contract framework and libraries, writing bots for automation, building off-chain smart-contract indexers, maintaining CLIs and tooling, and anything else that needs to get built.

This role is a great fit for someone who loves diving deep into Rust and smart-contracts, and enjoys building tools that other developers would love.

Ability to quickly learn new technologies as needed is an important part of succeeding in this role.

Responsibilities

• Build open-source software in Rust and contribute to the design of a new smart-contract infrastructure.
• Define and build APIs for other developers to build dapps
• Primarily work on Github

Requirements

• High-level understanding of how blockchains work (consensus, transactions, blocks, etc.) – prior experience in web3 mandatory
• Be able to work in UTC-7 to UTC+3 (PST to CET)
• 2+ years working with Rust as a primary development language
• 4+ years of software experience
• Strong architectural skills are required
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
