Oceans is seeking highly ambitious candidates in Sri Lanka to become what we’re calling the Right Hand to the Founder, a new hybrid role combining the administrative and analytical prowess of a highly polished Business Analyst with the ruthless efficiency of a great Marketing Operations Manager. Oceans’ Right Hands are not only responsible for handling research, KPI management, as well as administrative duties like scheduling, filing etc. They’re also equipped to flex their operational muscles by suggesting improvements, setting KPIs, assisting with strategy, gatekeeping their CXOs time, and tracking projects, tasks, and timelines from conception through completion.

Responsibilities

Operational:

  • Plan, create, and publish new content that builds meaningful customer connections
  • Develop, implement, and manage social media strategy: conduct competitive research, determine platform-specific messaging, identify relevant audiences, and create content calendars 
  • Track various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn Twitter 
  • Recycle content and repost on various platforms in video, audio, and written mediums
  • Compile data surrounding cross-platform analytics and content performance 
  • Draft company policies, standard operating procedures, and correspondence
  • Assist with running paid media campaigns for brand awareness, lead generation, and optimization of conversion rates
  • Collaborate with the broader sales and marketing teams to develop social media and other marketing campaigns

Administrative:

  • Manage complex calendars by coordinating with parties across multiple time zones and prioritize meetings according to business needs
  • Manage company and/or personal social media profiles including brand development, caption drafting, post ideation
  • Set the agenda for meetings, summarize discussion points, and key follow ups
  • Handle the management and flow of information, ensuring the right info gets to your CXO at the right time
  • Maintain awareness of deadlines and hold team members accountable across the organization
  • Handle basic financial tasks such as expense tracking, invoicing, budgeting, & reimbursement

Requirements

  • Language: Professional fluency in English, with excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Experience: 3-5 years working experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, copywriting, and/or brand marketing
  • Education: Undergraduate degree preferred; related work experience accepted
  • Bonus: MBA, CIM, SLIM or other professional certifications strongly favored, but not required
