We Rise Mental Health Counseling Services PLLC (https://www.werisenyc.com/) is a dynamic remotely-operated group practice in New York. We specialize in the treatment of anxiety, PTSD, perinatal mood disorders, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, and more. We also provide our clinicians with clinical support and guidance to help them grow into confident practitioners.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for full-time (preferably 30-40 hours a week) recent MHC Master’s graduates and Limited Permit Mental Health Counselors to provide mental health counseling to a diversified patient population using psychotherapy as well as evidence-based therapy techniques.
At this time, we are unable to hire social workers, so please do not apply if you are not an LMHC in the state of New York. Limited permit holders welcome to apply!

We are offering clinicians a W2-based position and supervision with fully licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC’s) in the state of New York.

Mental Health Counselor Job Responsibilities:
- Leads group and individual psychotherapy sessions.
- Develops strong working relationships with patients.
- Utilize our clinical software – Simple Practice.
- Refers patients to psychiatrists when necessary.
- Follows all guidelines, regulations, standards, and policies.
- Maintain case files including session case notes, treatment plans, monthly progress reports, telephone consultations, and termination summaries.
- Comply with the Mental Health Services Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Participate in scheduled case staffings and those held on an as-needed basis.
- Participate in applicable, appropriate, related professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to confidentiality policy.
- Maintain cross-cultural awareness in the performance of all responsibilities.
- A requirement to attend supervision with a licensed mental health professional on a consistent basis.

Mental Health Counselor Qualifications and Skills:
- Provides excellent patient care in an individual and group setting.
- Knowledgeable about different forms of therapy.
- Expresses adequate knowledge of psychopathology.
- Collaborates with patients and has strong interpersonal skills.
- Learns about new patients quickly and has strong critical thinking skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling is required.
- Must be qualified for Mental Health Counseling Limited Permit in NY state.
- Specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
