THE TEAM + THE PRODUCT:
Platform Services Team
Our team, Platform Services aka Jabba is responsible for creating and maintaining crucial microservices that provide Accounts and Securities data for our customers. We are focused on providing up to date data with current analysis. Our tech stack includes MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, SQS, SNS, Kafka. Current team size is 6 people (4 Software Engineers, one Quality Engineer, and one Engineering Manager). We need you to make the team complete! You’ll be on a mission to ensure that our customers’ delight is not diminished because of a broken or confusing user experience, by creating, owning, and maintaining our test automation platform. You accomplish this by continuous improvement of our current automation platform, coaching your fellow teammates on best practices, and providing metrics on how our automation is improving.
Requirements
- You have 1+ years of professional Quality Assurance engineering experience
- You’re a curious and technologically savvy person who loves digging into what makes software tick — a quick study who’s never said something was too difficult to learn.
- You’re completely comfortable and very experienced using complex web applications, and find yourself coming up with improvements and feature requests as you do. When you find a bug in some piece of software, you’re one to report it, not think, ‘someone else will probably do it.’
- You have strong written communication skills and love working with people who have different levels of experience than you do, in both directions.
- You have an attention to detail that’s motivated by care, not pedantry.
- Being a voice of user empathy in the development process is an exciting prospect to you.
- You’re always working to build your technical skills, and have been looking for the right environment you can push yourself in — alongside a supportive team.
- You have 1+ years of experience working with teams to plan work, analyzing projects to identify risk from the beginning, creating test plans, and executing those plans.
- You have a good understanding of (and actual experience testing) APIs
- You have a basic understanding of common web technologies (Javascript, HTML, CSS, etc.)
- You have a deep understanding of the deployment process and are able to communicate with team members about deployment dependencies, issues, and improvements needed.
- You have an understanding of common test methodologies (BDD, Blackbox, Whitebox, etc…)
- You have at least 1+ years of experience using SQL to verify data is being stored correctly and are able to help or ask others how to find the data you need.
- You have some experience in automating multi-layered (functional, integration, e2e) tests, preferable technologies are Python, Playwright, Behave, Pytest.
The expected compensation range for this position is a Monthly base salary of 13,000 – 14,000 PLN.
