QC lead

Objectives of this Role
The QC lead will coordinate and manage the quality control activities within the software development team, ensuring that quality standards and processes are followed. This position is typically offered full-time and reports to QA Manager. Those well-suited to this career enjoy problem-solving and working collaboratively with others.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Lead QC Team: Manage a team of quality control engineers, ensuring that they have the resources and support needed to carry out their tasks effectively.
- Test Planning: Collaborate with project managers and developers to create test plans and strategies for software projects.
- Test Execution: Oversee and participate in the execution of test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with teams to drive their resolution.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients to understand their quality expectations, address concerns, and provide updates on quality control activities.
- Quality Reporting: Prepare and present quality control reports and metrics to management and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or information technology, or equivalent education and work experience.
- Professional certification, such as ISTQB-CTFL ISTQB-CTAL
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes and methodologies.
- Experience in leading and managing a team of quality control engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
- Experience in creating test plans and strategies for software projects.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools.
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
