QA Engineer (Remote in Spain Possible)
Are you passionate about creating rock solid software? Are you looking to join a team that is working hard to change a whole industry through tech? Do you prefer to work remotely following a schedule that fits your lifestyle? Then come join us in our quest to make translations easier for everyone!
The role you’ll play
As our QA Engineer, you will have the chance to join a team which develops valuable features for our translators, customers and internal experts, and contribute by making sure these work perfectly through the whole application lifecycle, mainly through efficient automated testing. You will collaborate with several experienced engineering teams and contribute to bring new products and services to life using a cloud-native tech stack. Your role is to ensure we deliver software that is well tested, stable, and performing lightning fast!
The team you’ll be a part of
You will join the third and newest team in the Core Platform tribe (one of 6 tech tribes in Languagewire). You will be part of a small and efficient team (4 people now expanding to 6) which works closely with the other teams in the tribe in a distributed and international setup.
The Core Platform team develops and maintains the customer and translator portal, the translation workflow orchestration engine, an internal API and much more. Our team handles both the Frontend (Razor templates + JavaScript and Typescript) and several backend services (.NET Core + Kubernetes/VMSS in Azure).
We strongly believe that the best way to create great products is to give the team ownership of the development lifecycle. All teams are cross-functional, work with the “you build it, you run it” paradigm and are responsible for running the services that they develop in production.
You’ll report to your Team Lead, and you’ll work closely with our Director of Core Platform as well as the two other Team Leads within the Tribe.
If you want to make a difference, make it with us by…
- Analyzing our application’s features to find the highest value test plans to be automated
- Writing new UI automated tests and maintaining our test suite with the stability of our application in mind
- Analyzing UI and performance test results and the root cause of failed tests, writing bug reports and fixing broken tests
- Help with the release process by performing manual tests when necessary, coordinating releases and troubleshooting issues.
