Property Accountant

Zipdev is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to support a U.S.-based real estate investment firm. This is a full-time remote role ideal for someone with strong accounting skills, Yardi experience, and a deep understanding of financial reporting within the real estate sector. You’ll work directly with the Controller to ensure accurate property-level accounting and support the broader finance team.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; prepare journal entries and month-end reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations and sales tax filings.
• Prepare monthly financial packages and perform bank reconciliations.
• Handle CAM estimates and reconciliations for assigned properties.
• Set up new properties in Yardi and verify lease/tenant data.
• Support debt tracking, budget entry, and owner distributions.
• Collaborate on ad hoc reporting and financial analysis projects.

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of experience in accounting, preferably within real estate or property management.
• Proficiency in Yardi (strongly preferred).
• Solid understanding of GAAP and U.S. accounting practices.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Currently living in LATAM.
