Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager to join our founding team at an up-and-coming recruitment and staffing company focused on hiring top remote talents from the Philippines, Latin America, and South Africa. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple projects, drive operational excellence, and support the leadership team in achieving strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, experience in the recruitment or staffing industry, and the ability to take on increasing responsibility, potentially evolving into a Chief of Staff or COO role.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Oversee and manage recruitment and staffing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement project management systems (e.g., Asana, Notion) to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Work closely with different business units and other stakeholders to align project goals with business objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
Operational Leadership:
- Support the CEO in day-to-day operations, including process improvement, resource allocation, and team management.
- Act as a liaison between departments, fostering collaboration and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Lead initiatives to improve operational processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
Strategic Support:
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans, contributing to the company’s growth and success.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on project outcomes and operational data to support decision-making.
Team Management:
- Mentor and guide team members, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers.
- Participate in onboarding and training of new team members.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in using project management tools such as Asana, Notion, or similar platforms, with the ability to optimize workflows and manage cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership abilities, coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills, enabling effective team coordination and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems with minimal supervision.
Strongly Preferred:
- Prior experience in recruitment, staffing, outsourcing, or a closely related field, with an understanding of industry dynamics and challenges.
- Experience in a Chief of Staff, Operations, or similar leadership role, with a focus on strategic planning, process improvement, and team management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline, providing a solid foundation in business principles.
- Relevant certifications, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) and ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in scaling operations within a fast-growing start-up or entrepreneurial environment.
- Familiarity with global recruitment practices, particularly in the eCommerce sector.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on strategic goals.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and process improvements.
