Overview

We’re looking for a Project Manager, Network Infrastructure. This role is responsible for managing capacity needs for a telecommunications network on behalf of an engineering team.  This role will interact with a variety of engineering stakeholders at all levels of the organization and will be responsible for classic PM activities and artifacts. In addition, this role will establish and maintain relevant project management documentation such as project plans, JIRA tickets, executive decks, dashboards and reports, finance trackers, meeting notes, risk logs, and the like. This position is remote and will work across all time zones throughout the US. All qualified candidates MUST be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. Please note that we are unable to work C2C.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Daily, hands-on program/project management throughout the program life cycle
  • Ability to create long term strategy to optimize results
  • Document program and project deliverables
  • Utilize PMI PMP methodology
  • Plan and monitor the progress of complex programs and multiple workstreams
  • Integrate business policies and governance processes into planning & accountability for project roadmaps and strategy
  • Establish risk management, escalation paths, and take corrective measurements
  • Facilitate and lead project meetings and manage stakeholders’ communication
  • Identify, build and report program KPIs to assess impact
  • Coordinate, manage and monitor the workflow of cross-functional teams
  • Provide and perform quality assurance checks on project artifacts and deliverables.
  • Align deliverables (outputs) to the program/project workstream’s “outcome”
  • Own overall integrated project plan and drive cross-functional partners to ensure on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and achievement of business goal
  • Consistently exercise informed judgment and discretion in matters of significance

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Candidates must have strong practical experience in program and/or project management, which was gained through managing large and complex projects. He/she must have the following:

  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience managing multiple workstreams in a network infrastructure environment.
  • Program/Project Management experience working closely with Engineering, IT and/or Operations stakeholders is necessary
  • Experience working in the following industries, highly desired – Managed Services, RF, Satellite, WiFi, Wireless, Mobile, or Broadband.
  • Consulting Experience is helpful
  • Proven knowledge of project and program management methodology and tools
  • Experience with resource allocation procedures, budgets and business case development
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills to stakeholders including the ability to influence, strategize and negotiate
  • Ability to think analytically and process information quickly, presenting it in a succinct and insightful format suitable for executives required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of program/project management experience
  • Management or Business Consultant experience preferred
  • Experience in hardware installations within a telecommunications network/infrastructure
  • Experience working with PMO stakeholders in engineering and operations team environment is desired
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills are desired
  • Direct hands-on proficiency with SmartSheet, PPT, Excel and JIRA are necessary

 

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required – Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business, or Project Management preferred
  • Project Management certification or course work preferred (PMP, PMI)

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long-term consulting engagement, with an annual range of $105k-$120k. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
