Project Manager

The Educational Equality Institute, an NGO based in Norway committed to educating and thereby empowering disadvantaged girls.
In response to the war in Ukraine, we started the project: “Together for Ukraine”.
Free educational programs where we, together with our partners, will help 100.000 Ukrainians shape their future through education, upskilling, and employment.
We are looking for a highly organized and experienced volunteer Project Manager with a proven track record of managing complex projects from development to implementation to join our multicultural team.

Role Scope
- Manage the day-to-day details of projects, including the plan, schedule, resources, task assignments, scope, communications, and launch project initiatives.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget by maintaining a high level of project management excellence.
- Collaborate with project team members to identify project risks and issues, and develop effective strategies to mitigate them.
- Report regularly to project stakeholders and leadership on project status, schedule, and delivery details, ensuring risks are appropriately documented and escalated in good time.
- Foster open communication within the team on project planning and execution by facilitating regular team meetings and building strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Support business needs by leading the effort to develop creative approaches to problem-solving and ensuring quality deliverables.
- Utilize project management tools to facilitate project tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated critical and creative thinking abilities with a collaborative spirit.
- Can-do attitude and eagerness to learn new things, with a passion for personal and professional development.
- Efficient, proactive, and hands-on approach to project management, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong experience managing projects, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- People management experience in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about learning new tools and processes and always seeking out “a better way” of doing things, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Advanced English language skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
