Project Engineer
We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team as a Project Engineer in the Food Production industry. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a variety of projects at multiple locations across the country. This is a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on our operations and help drive our company’s success. Responsibilities
· Manage engineering projects end-to-end; Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance productivity and quality.
· Negotiate best cost for equipment while maintaining supplier relationships.
· Perform cost calculations and prepare financial projections.
· Prepare work schedules in collaboration with the project team.
· Liaise between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
· Create and test prototypes to ensure that designs are feasible and meet performance requirements.
· Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes by analyzing system data and identifying areas for improvement.
· Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and production personnel to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems.
· Create and maintain technical documentation, such as diagrams, engineering specifications, and operating manuals.
· Adhere to industry and government regulations and standards for safety, quality, and environmental impact.
· Recommend and implement cost-effective solutions to reduce manufacturing expenses while maintaining product quality and employee safety.
· Stay current with the latest technology and developments in the field of manufacturing engineering.
· Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team and the organization.
· Present project progress updates to all stakeholders.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
· Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the food production industry.
· Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong negotiation skills.
· In-depth knowledge of manufacturing industry regulations.
· Solid understanding of regulatory and safety standards in food production.
· Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) and project management tools.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Detail-oriented and highly organized.
· Remote position with up to 75% travel required.
