Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design for hyperscale data center projects from concept through construction.
- Develop innovative and efficient HVAC and Direct to Chip Liquid Cooling (DCLC) systems tailored for high-density environments.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into overall designs.
- Conduct energy modeling and analysis to optimize system performance and sustainability.
- Review and approve technical submittals from contractors and suppliers.
- Perform site assessments and ongoing evaluations to ensure alignment with design specifications.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and ensure adherence to industry standards and codes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and DCLC systems, cooling solutions, and energy efficiency practices.
- Proficiency in building information modeling (BIM) software and mechanical design tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processes is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges and project management.
- Data center experience required.
Travel
Ability to travel up to 20% for site development and delivery across North America with infrequent international travel as needed.

Compensation
The complete salary range is provided, however, offers for this position typically align closely with the midpoint, based on qualifications and internal equity considerations. Additionally, this role qualifies for an annual bonus program that can be up to 30% of the annual salary, subject to the achievement of individual and organizational performance goals.
