Job Overview

Remote Recruitment is looking for a skilled Podcast Editor to join our team. As a Podcast Editor, you will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality podcast episodes for various shows. You will work closely with our podcast hosts and producers to ensure smooth audio recordings, clean edits, and consistent sound quality.

Responsibilities

  • Edit raw audio recordings to remove mistakes, pauses, and background noise.
  • Enhance audio quality through noise reduction, equalization, and mastering techniques.
  • Add intros, outros, music, and sound effects to podcast episodes as required.
  • Ensure seamless transitions between segments and maintain overall episode flow.
  • Collaborate with podcast hosts and producers to achieve the desired creative vision.
  • Meet deadlines for episode delivery and help streamline the production process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in podcast editing.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving audio content and production quality.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Podcast Editor, Audio Producer, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in audio editing software such as Adobe Audition, Audacity, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of audio production techniques, including noise reduction and mastering.
  • Ability to work with different audio formats and deliver high-quality results.
  • Excellent auditory skills and attention to detail for accurate editing.
  • Experience in sound design, music editing, or sound engineering is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Passion for podcasts and knowledge of the podcasting industry.
  • Portfolio showcasing edited podcast episodes or audio projects.
  • Degree in Audio Production, Broadcasting, or related field is preferred.
