People & Culture Coordinator

Our client is a well-established Australian organisation in the education and creative industries.

They are now seeking a detail-oriented People & Culture Coordinator who will play a key role in ensuring smooth, compliant, and efficient HR processes that support the entire employee lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

HR Systems Management

  • Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS system (Employment Hero).
  • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and employee record changes.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and support upgrades or process improvements.

Payroll Coordination

  • Process accurate fortnightly payroll, including casual workforce timesheets.
  • Manage payroll inputs like new hires, terminations, and pay changes.
  • Address payroll queries with professionalism and confidentiality.

HR Reporting and Analytics

  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc HR reports on headcount, turnover, and compliance.
  • Provide data insights for workforce planning and compliance.
  • Maintain Award classification data and support audits.

People and Culture Administration Support

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training coordination.
  • Draft employment contracts, variation letters, and position descriptions.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Invoice and Vendor Management

  • Process and track invoices related to HR and vendor services.
  • Liaise with finance for timely payments and accurate cost allocations.

Requirements

  • Experience in HR coordination, payroll administration, and HRIS management (Employment Hero preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills and a strong ability to prepare and interpret HR reports.
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes and employee lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with Australian employment legislation and award compliance.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
