We are looking for a Pedagogy Lead to join our team and champion pedagogical excellence across our content team. You’ll strategize for upcoming Maths and Science projects, ensuring lessons meet pedagogical standards. Collaborating across content teams, you’ll assess and refine lessons, providing feedback to contributors to elevate our content creation process. This is a fixed term contract position from May until the end of December 2024.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with Curriculum Leads in the project planning phase to develop pedagogical requirements for lessons
  • Check Contributing Writer scripts to ensure sound pedagogical lessons and levelling
  • Develop the skills and capabilities within our Editing team to enable efficient script checking with a specific focus on Maths and Science
  • Coach the Editing team to provide feedback to Contributing Writers to improve pedagogical standards
  • Seek ways to improve the communication with Contributing Writers and our internal Delivery team
  • Provide training and onboarding processes for contractors to meet EP standards through the lens of Learning Design
  • Assess the effectiveness of levelling in project resources
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process for new projects
  • Support the Head of Content Design to identify and develop any resources or training needs in regards to Learning Design

About you:

  • Qualified Teacher with experience teaching in the classroom
  • Ability to lead and motivate writers and editors to achieve high-quality results and deliver projects on time
  • A willingness to multi task and switch between different content priorities as required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional relationships within an internal team and external contractors
  • A team player who can collaborate within a cross-functional environment
  • Experience coaching individuals to improve skills or meet goals
  • A continuous improvement mindset – always looking for opportunities to improve ways of working
